We are not thought driven human beings

Thought driven?

It is far too simplistic to think that everything is thought based. Instincts and emotions in the brain are quicker to register than thoughts.

The thinking part of the brain is the newest. It takes 250ms to register a thought in the brain and 80ms to register an emotion. Therefore, our thoughts are always trying to catch up with our emotions. Simplistic approaches about rethinking the way you feel are wrong. Things can be done to regulate our emotions but we are emotionally driven beings and emotions can invade our thoughts and take over. Our thoughts cannot invade our emotions. Thoughts are not as powerful as emotions.

About the author...

Victoria believes that the problems we face today are inseparable from who we are and the decisions that our brain makes for us without us even realising. Victoria works with her clients to help them understand themselves and the different behaviours that result from their brain and body intelligence systems. She advocates moving away from what you know to who you are as a person.
